Web Bytes: Dylan O’Brien’s Saucy Snake Hips

If there is one thing I know how to do, it’s how to pay the minimal amount of attention in class. To that end, Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf, The Maze Runner) and his super-fresh moves have really helped me step up my game. In fact, I haven’t paid attention in statistics for weeks now. And don’t worry mom. The odds of my failing are pretty slim. (I think. Like I said, I haven’t really paid attention in stats).

Web Bytes: The Fault in Our Stars Music Video (AKA “Let Me In” by Grouplove)

I am more than an little excited for the release of The Fault in Our Stars, so I am latching on to any and all little tidbits that come out and you are just going to have to deal with it.

Check out the music video for “Let Me In” by Grouplove that was just released.  It has a lot of brand new adorkable clips (name that one at 0:25) and, hey, the song is pretty good, too!

Web Bytes: Tonight Show Lip Sync Battle with Paul Rudd

This week has been rough.  I inadvertently made a twelve-year-old boy cry in public (a proud moment for both of us). I just realized that my library books are so overdue, I think it might be punishable by law. And, the cherry, I read that Kim and Kanye may have to call off their wedding, for which we’ve all been breathlessly waiting. HOW MUCH MORE CAN THE HUMAN SPIRIT ENDURE? Anyway, whenever I turn this particular shade of blue, I like to watch clips of The Tonight Show to remind me of how beautiful the human experience can be. Ladies and probably more ladies, I give you the Tonight Show lip synch battle with Paul Rudd.

And because I am a generous soul…

Web Bytes: The Office Time Machine

qqqqqqqqqqqqqDo you ever encounter something that make you feel like your entire life has been a waste?  Like you have nothing to show for your time here on Earth?  These were the feelings I had when I saw “The Office Time Machine“, an internet project by Joe Sabia.  Basically, he went through all of The Office and picked out every cultural reference made on the show and compiled them in videos by year of the reference.

It’s pretty bonkers and has to be seen to be believed.

Web Bytes: Trailers for The Giver and Step Up: All In

On the list of my favorite things, YA novels and dance movies both rank pretty high.  Imagine my excitement when I got trailers for both The Giver and a new Step Up this week.

Yes, it looks like it may not be very faithful to the book, but HELLO!  It has Meryl freaking Streep!  Also, T-Swift.

An all-star Step Up movie?  It’s only all of my wildest dreams coming true.  “Does it always have to end up in a big giant dance battle?” Yes.  Yes, it does, Moose.  And don’t you dare take that away from me. – Ellen

Web Bytes: X-Men: Days of Future Past Trailer

I don’t mean to brag, but I saw most of this trailer back in July at Comic Con.  (Oh, wait.  That’s right.  I love bragging about Comic Con. )  This doesn’t mean that I was any less excited to see this new trailer this morning.  How rad does this look?!  Granted, I will get excited about any Fassbender/McAvoy vehicle, but especially an X-Men movie.  Which happens to work out nicely, since that is all they have done together.

Web Bytes: Emma Approved

You may remember us freaking out over a certain climatic moment on a certain web series called The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.  Well, the team behind that series is back with Emma Approved, a modern re-telling of Emma (that isn’t Clueless).  While Emma has never been my favorite Austen work, anything Austen is still going to be my favorite.  Check out the first episode and see if this new series is going to measure up.
